Mom gets Surprise Birthday Parties!

If rounding 3 decades means soo much fun, laughter and masti - then I feel its the best age of life!

I know many who are sad to see the wrinkles on the cheeks and grays in their hair, and that's what makes them afraid of their 40s.. I somehow can never relate to it! After all, we have earned the wrinkles and silver strands along with the stretch marks!

No - it doesn't mean one should not strive to look smart, beautiful and graceful - after all these characteristics are synonymed with a woman's beauty for generations.. However I feel it is very important to be happy from within to look happier and feel gorgeous! Which I do at the age of 38! More than I ever did..

I am at a juncture of life when I am AT PEACE..Content...Happy..Thankful for my life and everything that I have. (Even the extra kangaroo pouch ;-) )

And last week made it sooo complete and so much more joyful! One of my very close friends A did something very special for me.. She planned a beautiful surprise birthday party with the help of hubby darling. She gathered friends..planned ahead..made yummy home-made food(just like my mom)...arranged the decor at her place with help of friends and asked J to just bring me over..

J was no less...he took me shopping and got me ready on the pretext of an early dinner date!
It was one of the moments people like me thrive on! People came together to wish me.. be there with me..laugh and act silly with me!!! What a joy that evening was!

A part that I can never forget was the couple of them said about me ..heartfelt and emotional! Sooo soo lucky to have all this in my life!
The party continued late in the night when friends left and the family-friends remained...the kids collected confetti from the floor ..refilled the popper and showered upon us their cute love with smiles and giggles.. while 4 of us chatted and laughed as if there's no tomorrow!

I was veryyy happy with all that but N was not. She felt left out cos she was surprised as much as I was.. cutest part was - she kept on telling my friends - stop the hoopla..my mom dad have to go on a date ..let them go! LOL..
So her brain started to churn up ideas instantly I believe.. However it took shape only on Sunday. Hatched up a plan with J that he should come early so they can both surprise me on my birthDAY- Again! (am i lucky or what??!) So being one of the best dad's - he obliged. The plan was discussed with her friend S in school bus. And his mom - my friend A got involved yet again! planning a surprise for me!! :-D The kids blew balloons..made hand-made popper (Thanks to 5 min DIY Youtube Videos), J was instructed in whispers to get home early with Cake!

And finally when I was happily chatting with friends over phone in another room.. my hall was filled with sweet surprises just like my heart!

The fragrance of own-got and hubby-gifted Rajnigandha fills everytime I walk in my hall.. and it makes me happier each time :-)

Aaahhhh the joys of motherhood and having best friends in the same home and society!!!! :-)

I will cherish the moments of this beautiful birthday celebrations for years to come...
Love you all! Here's to the last 2 years of 30s! 40s I cannot wait to have you around :-D
