Summer Trip with Friends 2019

What is a sure shot of bindaas masti..fun n frolic for kids? 

A SLEEPOVER.. 

And when the sleepover is for the entire girl gang plus their elder siblings and of course cool mommies (that come by default) on a hill station.... you know the Joy just did a summer-sault and landed on a mountain of squeals and laughter!!

Last week was 1 such a sleepover mini-trip for my girl gang. Organized with perfection and diligence by our Financial experts P and V.. it was such a treat for 16 estrogen filled ladies of all ages...

The journey began with the famous Peppa Pig waiting for the girls in the bus.. OMG the squeals could be heard on the 2nd floor of the next building when the girls saw and realized whom they really saw! We were only scared that passers by are gonna think someone is abducting children in the curtain clad mini-bus! LOL! Nevertheless the girls.. big and small bade their goodbyes to him with question marks on their head thinking who was beneath the costume! And P aunty didn't know what to say..

The way toward Mahabaleshwar was fun with 1 of the older sibling having so many games in her kitty. Against expectations, all the 7 girls were hooked on to the games. And so were Mommies with the unique Bingo (but of course) doing our share of cheating just like the 18 yr old suspected! LOL.. The highlight after reaching the destination was when the girls wanted to mark their territory along with their besties. All the mommies had to do was tag along and play bunk!

The day passed quickly with slices of pizza.. pitchers of iced tea, boating and munching road-side bhuttas. The highlight of the evening was single and dual horse riding for the girls.. 

The adventurous girls wanted the Bollywood named horses to gallop like in the movies! Freaks!!!! :-D 

Amidst all that, the girls gave a surprise(for mommies) performance..P didi managed to teach these rogues steps and perform them like performing on stage! The Hawaiin skirts and the throw of the cap in the end just stole the show!! 


Just when we thought the day was done.. the hosts had another surprise for the girls.. the LED balloons not only lit up the pathway of the bungalow but also gave the girls a shot of energy..

Of course nothing can be complete without those little fights and nok-jhonk amongst the girl gang.. As all of us pacified the girls while awaiting mouth-watering food, us mommies didn't leave the chance to be bachchas ourselves! Girls were not ready to pose.. so we let them be.. and instead used the time for the photo opps n boomerang videos! 

I kept on thinking how easy it is to become kids in the right company...

We are together far away from homes and don't sit up at night chatting n gossipping.. In another lifetime!!! From recalling awful Bollywood songs and steps ... to talking about weird neighbours and how silly we were in our younger times.. we laughed till our tummies hurt! Wow what an end to a wonderful day! 

The next morning after a peaceful breakfast amongst trees and blooms we all were set for cake cutting and celebration of 2 cuties.. R and S. Did the girls oblige to pose? Damn right they did.. this time the attention was on all of them cos of the frills and glitters they adorned.

However after all the bags & kids were loaded back in the bus.. it was the Moms time to pose! Literally!!!! We had the time of our life posing & of course laughing our hearts out.. Can no more complain of not having phones while growing up! :-D

Highlight for most of us while roaming around on the heated market streets was the ice-gola in varied flavours! Aahhh how fun it is to be kids once again!!! The pit-stop at Mapro garden turned out to be more colorful and fruitful than expected... 

And all of us were boarded back in the bus with backpacks of fun laughter and masti. As we made our way to the blinkering lights of the city, few thoughts that crossed my mind were.. 

More often than not situations choose our relationships.. be it relatives or friends...

I feel our girls are so lucky to have each other as their buddies for years to come. 

But i also feel that the bond that started to create merely to be cordial with each of us cos of our girls play together, has grown to be the most beautiful relationship ever! - Friendship! 

No matter where we all are..go ..do.. say... This bond..its memories..love n affection are going to hold our hands for ever n ever!
